About this event
The “Future of Space Law” event will take place on the occasion of the ESA Space Talks on 8 October. It is organised by the International Institute of Air and Space Law (IIASL) of Leiden University and addresses the students of the Advanced Master on Air and Space Law.
During the first part of the event, the IIASL will join the ESA Space Talks and engage in the debate, focusing on the legal and policy perspectives of the discussed subjects. IIASL has prepared a short introduction to recent developments in the space sector and in space law, to be presented before the Space Talks, as well as additional questions to be discussed in parallel or after the Space Talks interaction time, in order to engage the IIASL students in exchanging their views.
During the second part of the event, the students will watch “Orphans of Apollo”, a documentary about space exploration and entrepreneurship, which they will have the chance to discuss afterwards. The IIASL has obtained permission from Michael Potter, Director and Producer of the film.
