Science Faction is an evening for movie enthusiasts and science aficionados.
This evening, we have invited a handful of scientific experts who will be discussing the movie The Martian over two panels in cozy surroundings. Over the course of the evening, we will cover subjects such as the practicalities of a Mars colony, the ethical considerations facing the ground crew in the film, how to feed colonists on long space voyages, and the psychology of astronauts on long-duration spaceflight.
The event will take place at cozy Bartof Station, which means there will be beer, wine, and drinks available for sale. Between the panels, we will host a quiz with sci-fi prizes.
The panels will be held in Danish.

Since the discussions are about the film The Martian, we STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT YOU HAVE SEEN THE FILM IN ADVANCE, since we will not hold back on discussing the entire film, including the ending.
Science Faction er en aften for film entusiaster og videnskabs aficionados.
Til denne aften har vi inviteret en håndfuld videnskabelige eksperter til at diskutere filmen The Martian over to paneler i hyggelige omgivelser. I løbet af aftenen vil vil komme ind på emner såsom praktiske udfordringer for Mars kolonier, de etiske overvejelser som filmens hovedpersoner går igennem, hvordan man kan fodre astronauter på deres lange rejse, og astronauters psykologi på lange rummissioner.
Det hele kommer til at foregå på hyggelige Bartof Station, hvilket betyder at der vil være øl, vin, og drinks i baren. Imellem panelerne vil der være en quiz med sci-fi præmier.

Siden diskussionerne tager udgangspunkt i filmen The Martian vil vi PÅ DET KRAFTIGSTE FORESLÅ AT DU HAR SET FILMEN INDEN DU DUKKER OP, da vi ikke vil holde os fra at diskutere hele filmen og dens slutning.

Thea works with space law, and functions as the National Point of Contact for Denmark at UN's Space Generation Advisory Council.
