What do our space instruments tell us about the state of our Earth? How does it compare to the state of our solar system? From our planet’s surface, it is increasingly clear that we are facing a crisis in climate. Nation after nation has declared emergency, and we know humanity must become carbon neutral by 2050 to maintain anything remotely similar to our way of life today.
From deep space to deep time — this lecture night will cover the state of our planet as we observe it now, featuring planetary scientist Cassie Stuurman and paleoclimate scientist Imke Smeets.
Join us to understand the critical state of our Earth and what we must do about it.
