All the details of the ANTARCTICA UNEXPLORED DOME FUJI 2018-19 expedition, a great scientific exploration adventure that will mark a milestone while covering a route through one of the least known areas of Antarctica’s interior. It will be the world’s first ‘zero emissions’ scientific campaign that will reach Dome Fuji, at almost 4,000 m of altitude. The 11 scientific projects that the expedition members will undertake on board will be presented, under the direction of Mr. Ramón Larramendi: search for extremophile microorganisms, GESTA (Galileo Experimentation & Scientific Tests in Antarctica) on the constellation of ESA’s Galileo satellites, climate change, contaminants, tests for the Mars2020 mission, and so on.
It is sponsored by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and Tierras Polares.
The new WindSled convoy with all its equipment will be assembled.
