The end of the first phase of the ESA Exomars Mission has seen the insertion of TGO (Trace Gas Orbiter) into its intended Mars orbit, with the transmission to Earth of the first surface images and scientific data, and the partial success of the EDM (Entry Descend and Landing module). ESA is now preparing the next step of the mission that foresees the launch of the Exomars Rover in 2020.

“An ExoMARS Adventure” will present an overview of the main space missions to the “red planet” with a focus on the ESA Exomars 2016 and 2020 missions. The talk will try to higlight the hard work of collaboration among European countries and the future developments based on the Exomars heritage.

The event will take place at “Teatro Cabrini” in Pontremoli on Saturday 10 November 2018. It is a free access event. Everyone interested is welcome to attend.

The language of the event will be Italian.

La missione Exomars dell’ESA ha visto la fine della sua prima fase con il corretto inserimento in orbita marziana del modulo TGO (Trace Gas Orbiter), con la trasmisisone verso Terra delle prime immagini della superficie del pianeta e dei primi dati scientifici, e il successo parziale del modulo EDM. L’ESA si sta preparando alla prossima fase che prevede l’invio del Rover europeo nel 2020.

“An ExoMARS Adventure” presenterà le principali missioni spaziali verso il “pianeta rosso”, soffermandosi in particolare sulla missione Exomars. Si sottolineeranno il duro lavoro di collaborazione tra i vari stati europei coinvolti nella missione e gli sviluppi futuri basati sull’esperienza della missione Exomars.

L’evento, che si terrà in Italiano,  si svolgerà Sabato 10 Novembre a Pontremoli presso il “Teatro Cabrini”. Accesso libero.
