Between November 16-17 2018 the 2nd conference of the Romanian Society for Cultural Astronomy will take place in Timisoara at the West University of Timisoara. Last year the event gathered over 20 participants from all over the country who during a day long marathon took part in presentations and discussions related to astronomy in culture.

The conference is an excellent opportunity for those interested in any topic related to astronomy in culture (archaeoastronomy, history of astronomy, sundials, etc.) to present their ideas and results and to discuss with other participants from Romania and abroad.

This year, 24 researchers from 4 countries will present their research on archaeoastronomy, ethnoastronomy, sundials, astronomical symbols, and educational astronomy in open sessions.

The conference is organized by the Romanian Society for Cultural Astronomy and West University of Timisoara.
